Dementia Evaluations
At Utah Center for Psychological Services, we provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for individuals experiencing memory loss, confusion, or other cognitive changes that may indicate dementia or a neurocognitive disorder. Our goal is to help clients and their families understand what’s happening — and what to do next.
What Our Dementia Evaluations Include:
In-depth clinical interview with the client and (when possible) a close family member or caregiver to gather history, daily functioning concerns, and behavioral changes.
Standardized cognitive testing assessing memory, language, attention, executive functioning, processing speed, and problem-solving abilities.
Mood and personality assessment to evaluate emotional functioning, which can impact or mimic cognitive concerns.
Diagnostic clarity — we assess for conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia, and mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
Functional and safety recommendations to support decision-making around independent living, driving, and daily care needs.
Detailed written report and feedback session to explain results, answer questions, and provide clear, compassionate next steps.
We believe in making this process as supportive and informative as possible — whether you’re in the early stages of concern or seeking a second opinion after a medical diagnosis.
