Dr. Jed Gunter, ABN, FACPN

Dr. Gunter is a Board-Certified Neuropsychologist who brings strong clinical experience and curiosity to every evaluation. He earned his board certification in Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology in 2019.

His academic journey began at UCLA, where he graduated with honors in Psychology. He went on to earn his Master’s and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas — where he taught courses and led research projects. (Yes, he’s both a clinician and a bit of a brain science nerd — in the best way.)

Over the years, Dr. Gunter has worked in a wide range of settings: from group homes and women’s prisons to community mental health centers, the Department of Defense, and private practice. He’s supported veterans, active-duty service members, and countless children, teens, and young adults navigating academic, social, and emotional challenges.

Thanks to this diverse experience, Dr. Gunter has developed a keen eye for spotting what’s really going on beneath the surface — and a thoughtful, compassionate approach to helping clients and families find answers. His clinical interests include:

  • Neuropsychological testing for cognitive, memory, and learning concerns

  • ADHD and executive functioning evaluations

  • Autism spectrum assessments

  • Complex trauma and mood-related challenges

What clients and colleagues often say about Dr. Gunter is that he’s not just knowledgeable — he’s kind, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping people move forward with clarity and confidence.

Now based in Salt Lake City, Dr. Gunter is proud to be part of a community he cares deeply about. Outside of work, you might catch him hiking a nearby trail, skiing Utah’s champagne powder, diving into the latest psychology journal, or enjoying a quiet moment with his dog and a good cup of coffee.
