Parental Fitness Evaluations

Parental fitness evaluations provide information about a parent’s current functioning to assist the court in making custodial decisions.

Note: These are not the same as custody evaluations, which are not currently provided.

What is included:

  • 90-minute clinical and diagnostic interview with parent

  • 90-minute parental interview with parent

  • 60-minute parent-child observation

  • 1-2 hours of psychological testing

  • Collateral interviews

  • Record review

  • Comprehensive report that discusses psychological and parental functioning

  • Treatment and parenting recommendations

Cost: $3,500 (add $500 for domestic violence component)
