Psychosexual and Sexual Behavior Risk Assessments

Psychosexual Evaluations

We conduct comprehensive psychosexual evaluations or sexual behavior risk assessments for individuals involved in legal, forensic, or child welfare cases where questions about sexual behavior, risk, or treatment needs are being considered. These evaluations are structured, evidence-based, and tailored to address specific referral concerns while maintaining fairness, objectivity, and clinical sensitivity.

Our evaluations are designed to:

  • Assess patterns of sexual behavior, arousal, and attitudes to identify potential risk factors or treatment needs

  • Evaluate the presence of paraphilic interests or disorders, sexual impulsivity, and co-occurring mental health concerns

  • Provide informed, clinically grounded opinions for court, probation, or treatment planning purposes

  • Offer clear, actionable recommendations related to supervision, treatment, risk management, and reintegration

What Our Psychosexual Evaluations Include:

  • A comprehensive clinical interview covering developmental, relational, sexual, mental health, and behavioral history

  • Review of relevant records, such as police reports, court documents, treatment notes, and collateral input (if available)

  • Administration of standardized psychological and psychosexual assessment tools (e.g., Multiphasic Sex Inventory–II, Static-99R, Stable-2007, or other empirically supported instruments based on referral question)

  • Risk assessment for sexual recidivism or other inappropriate sexual behavior, as indicated

  • A detailed forensic report that includes diagnostic impressions, case conceptualization, and clear recommendations for court, treatment providers, or supervising agencies

Our psychosexual evaluations are guided by current research, best practices in forensic psychology, and a deep understanding of the legal and clinical implications of these complex cases. Whether requested by courts, attorneys, or treatment providers, our goal is to offer balanced, defensible assessments that prioritize public safety, due process, and the potential for rehabilitation.
